Parking Management Services in Gulfport, MS – Anchored in Excellence
Gulfport sits on the Mississippi Sound in Harrison County, where it shares county seat duties with neighboring Biloxi, and it is the second-largest city in Mississippi. The city grew up around its harbor, and the Port of Gulfport, established in 1902 and now run by the Mississippi State Port Authority, is one of the primary Gulf Coast import centers for Dole and Chiquita fruit from Central America. In December 2024 the city adopted its first official flag, a refreshed seal, and the motto Anchored in Excellence, with the anchor chosen to honor that maritime history.
Much of the city’s visitor traffic centers on the beachfront, where the Mississippi Aquarium, which opened downtown in 2020, and Island View Casino Resort both sit along Beach Boulevard, and the casino resorts of Biloxi are a short drive east. Ferries to Ship Island and Fort Massachusetts in the Gulf Islands National Seashore depart from Jones Park, which also hosts the Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo over the Fourth of July holiday. Each October, Cruisin’ the Coast brings thousands of classic cars to Highway 90 for a week of shows with stops in Gulfport and the neighboring coastal cities.
Gulfport is also a hub for health care, defense, and air travel on the Coast. Memorial Hospital Gulfport, one of the city’s largest employers, and Singing River Gulfport treat patients from across the region, the Naval Construction Battalion Center is home to the Atlantic Fleet Seabees, and Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport offers nonstop flights to major hubs including Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Houston. Summer beach traffic, event weekends, hospital shift changes, and the daily movement of base and port workers all put pressure on parking across the city.
That is where Park Inc comes in. Park Inc was founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1994 and now manages parking and valet operations at more than 75 locations in 25 states. Why choose Park Inc for parking management in Gulfport?
In Gulfport, parking demand changes with the season as well as the time of day. Summer weekends at the beach, holiday crowds at Jones Park, Cruisin’ the Coast in October, and evening traffic at the casinos all build on top of the steady weekday load at medical campuses and offices. Park Inc plans for both, with valet teams that can scale up for peak weekends and Certified Parking Professionals who handle the day-to-day management of lots and garages. We are also a member of the National Parking Association.
Whether your property needs valet coverage for a single event or a long-term partner for a hotel entrance, casino garage, or hospital campus, we will build a program around your site, your guests, and your revenue goals.
